My Experiences with June 4th Memorial

Today I attended the 六四-二十三周年燭光悼念集會. Because this year, it is on Monday, therefore, I worked over the weekend for some stupid MCU market analysis in order to make sure I can have the 1/2 day off today. So right after I sent out the analysis materials around 1:30PM, I immediately left the office and head to Victoria park. I heard the rumor that there will be a march from Victoria Park to Hong Kong Gov HQ. (No idea why to HK HQ, instead of Sai Wan Commie HQ). Anyhow, I arrived in Victoria Park around 3:10PM about 10 mins late for the march, but I don't see anything. I text one of my friend's friend to see if he will join it, but unfortunately he can't. Since it is still early, so I back home to change the black Protest uniform/T-shirt I got last time May 27th, and grab some bread and waters and also a LED lamp (you know it is a smart move later), and my tablet, and a MP4 players to kill the time. Not to mention need to bring water and umbrella.  No matter what, I am determined to attend it, even it rain....Luckily till the end, the weather is fine... thanks GOD... So, around 4PM or so I headed back to Victoria Park again. This time still very early, there are more people taking pictures, walking around to buy some gifts as memorial. e.g. mini-statue $100HKD, most T-shirts range from $60 to 100 HKD. still most people are walking not sitting so no threat to seat , I walked around to see if there is any T-shirt I can buy (i like buying something instead of just plain donation). I got the black T-shirt last time, so this time I got the white one(支聯會) again for HK$60 (medium size since XXL ran out).... And then I saw the People's power  人民力量 booth, so I immediately paid HK$120 for a black/yellow T-shirt (their party color is black and yellow), though it is little bit pricer, but well, just think of it as donation and you got something back. I really wanted to support 黃毓民... Still early, so I went to HK Central library which is right opposite to the Victoria park and rest for 30 mins or so till 5:15PM and then back to the park, to my great shock the first front section already full!!!! (those are the left and right section right in front of the podium, they are full of students, yup, students including Chinese university (later I heard many of them are born after 1989!!!), so time to pick a spot, luckily since still early, so I got in the 2nd row group, and sit left of the memorial 神主牌Obelisk. I SMS a friend in Shanghai that I am attending the memorial and sitting near the HK Science and technology people section (they have a big flag there). He SMS me back to be careful do not be photographed. I thanks him, but it is not avoidable.   I was already on TVB last week. Anyone come out for demo should already prepared for it.  Either hiding at home, if stepping out , then do not be feared. There are getting more and more people, and it was only 6PM, 2 hrs ahead of 8PM scheduled starting time. I know for sure the whole victoria park will be full. and yup, few hrs later, I heard it is all full, about 180K people attended (the highest ever, last year and before max is 150K people) and  there are more who were blocked outside the park. But this time, the organizer did well, they plan ahead and have many big screen in other areas for people to see and join, not to mention giving them and me the candles for the vigil. Oh, by the way, there is also a discussion forum from 4-6PM with many guests. One guests point out a good thing i.e. the fucking commie always complain China should not just blindly follow western's democracy ideas, china has china's own. then why China adopted communism? which is completely non-China. Why China cannot have China style democracy and always China style socialism? Anyhow, we started singing and shouting slogans (ya... I didn't sing loud as many of you know my singing skills, so .,..), there this year, they have a new song written, pretty good, will post it later on. By 8PM, finally light is turned off, and it started accordingly to plan. Too bad, the candles I got ran out too soon. So around 9PM, I have NO candles.  and because of too many attendees, they ran out of candles too. NOW i took out the LED light I got from home and use it as candles... GOOD!!! Oh, by the way, I was sitting next to many students and teaches from Delia School. I guess those are teachers (since he and she talked about June 4th in details in educational manner and students are in uniform). There are many mainland people attended (notice this time I didn't use the locusts to describe them) because 1) they (those sit behind me) cleaned up their places after they left (VERY VERY GOOD!!!), 2) they split on bags, newspapers, not on the ground 3) they can sing many June 4th cantonese songs!!!! though some can't speak cantonese well. All the speakers is very good especially Wang Dan (video taped, but he is now a very matured spokeperson), Fong Jing (the student got both legs crushed by tank and survived 1989 and stayed in China till 2009 and then study overseas) and of course the 支聯會 Lee Chuk Yan. Surprisingly the fake pigeon party 何俊仁  didn't shown up I guess. GOOD.  So after all the singing, shouting done, around 10:20PM it ended, very well organized, much better than the stupid Incompetent Stupid Group that I worked for in the company. Too bad, the candles' wax fell onto my Intel Developers Forum's bag (good is not on the floor). So guess this bag is gone.... Well, after it is done, time to back home, taking shower and then ate. Yup, I didn't eat or drink at all from 6PM, since I don't wanted to go to restroom , I know it will be tough to get out and get back in my spots. Overall, it is a very good experience. For my reader like you, if you are available, please join next year. Unless you are the group leader or big shot, I don't think the commie government will spend much resources to target you, afterall, they target the big shot, not ordinary folks like you and me. Though personally, I would like to join the human/social rights movement after I leave my current employer. Making money is no longer my main objective in my life, I wanted to go back to my "naive" young to do something for the world (perhaps this is my mid-life crisis)..  Like today, there are many people from all walks of life, many young people and old people (well prepared, some brought folded chair to sit).  Some bring bento box. But you can see their strong interest, they are alive!!! Comparing to boring, status quo works, I feel "alive" just like what Tom Hanks said when he heard Maria Callas's   La Mamma Morta . For me I just have bread but didn't got the chance to eat. Not hungry... I am really exited, energized by the political protest, march... activities.... Like everybody else, I hope 毋忘六四傳真相民主潮流不可擋. Here is the photo. Oh, the map is where people die and reported by the hospital. too bad, my stupid Nokia phone camera doesn't work well at night, so most of my night pictures is pretty poor quality... thought daylight one is OK. Anyhow, after today , I got many stuff to read, they gave out many books even City university... I donate to some of them. The video stuff will be taped by 支聯會 http://www.alliance.org.hk/  and will be available on their website, I will post the link later.  對我黎講, 方政係今晚六四集會既唯一亮點#good# 仲有天安門母親個度:~(Forget to mention they also shouted in English i.e. "Never forget June 4th, Long lives Democracy in China,..."
